Welcome Back from Break!

December News
What a busy month we had in kindergarten!
We began our celebrations when we learned about St. Nicholas Day and Mikolaj. We celebrated Hanukkah as we learned about the menorah, the history of Hanukkah, and how to play dreidel! We continued celebrating as we learned about the traditions and history of Kwanzaa. Our class was very excited to learn more about Christmas and how it is celebrated through different traditions!

( Cooking Potatoe Latkes during our Hanakkuh Festivities! )

A special THANK YOU to everyone who was able to join us for decorating Gingerbread Houses!
We had a great Family Night, enjoying our SmartBoard fire, sharing Hot Chocolate and reading “Gingerbread Friends” with our friends and their families!
It was a great night of holiday fun!
( A really sweet design! )

Our Holiday Party was a blast! We met with two other Kindergarten classes in our Pod (the Hallway Classroom just outside of our door) for exciting Winter themed games and we loved making snowman ice cream sundaes!

If you have any stories or highlights to share about your experience or anything your child has shared about our December excitement feel free to post it as a comment!
There are also many new photos up on our Flickr account!
